We have PEERS packets which include basic information about the group and the business cards of each member. A prospective member’s business, and their personal and/or professional business partner’s business, may not be in conflict with another business already represented in the group. Before inviting a guest, or contacting our president, the management team will need to review the guest’s and their spouse’s businesses. If there is no conflict you’re welcome to attend a meeting (excluding the monthly Business Meeting). A prospective member may attend two meetings, as a guest, before the prospective member decides if they would like to join. We also offer membership for one month, so that prospective members can see the group, and referrals in action before deciding to become a full member of PEERS.
Unless otherwise noted, meetings are every Thursday morning from 7:30 – 8:30 AM. The integrity of PEERS relies on members’ regular attendance. Giving and receiving referrals is critical to the group’s success. Of course, there are times when you will not be able to join us. If so, you may want to contact one of our members at large so that they can represent your business in your absence.
Commercials & Presentations:
Each meeting provides every member an opportunity to do a round-table 15-30 second commercial. This allows members to remind others of the services they provide and to showcase special offers or other events. Those giving the larger presentation may skip this commercial. As a member of PEERS, you have the opportunity to promote and showcase your business periodically by delivering a 10-15 minute presentation to the group. You may use visuals aids, provide special promotions or bring a guest speaker during this time. It is a great way to tell other members about the services you offer so that they can refer customers.
Member referrals are announced and distributed at each meeting. Referral forms and business cards are passed around at each meeting so that you can replenish your supply. All referrals are filed and kept on record.
The first Thursday of the month is reserved for the PEERS Business Meeting. Only dues paying members may attend the business meetings. Much of the group’s planning of upcoming events and other business is conducted during these meetings.
